What happens next?
Once you have given us details of the accident, we will contact the other person’s insurance company for an admission of liability (although this is not always necessary – a witness statement may be sufficient, or the accident circumstances may be clear cut).
Once your car has been repaired, the repair bill will be forwarded straight to the insurance company of the person who caused the accident, and you will pay nothing.
If your car is deemed a write-off by the vehicle engineer, a pre-accident value will be put on the car. Once you have agreed this figure, a cheque for this amount will be sent from the other person’s insurance company so you can then buy another car.
