Latest research reveals massive breakdown
risk for Brits

A recent study by a motor insurance provider has found that a worryingly high number of British drivers have experienced a breakdown.

Prudential Car Insurance found that over 75% of drivers have been behind the wheel when their car has conked out, yet a significant number of people don't have any form of breakdown cover.

A Prudential Car Insurance spokesman told the press, "Brits seem to be suffering from apathy behind the wheel. 14% don't have breakdown cover because they think it will never happen to them and one in ten just never get around to buying it."

He also added, "Our research findings prove that a vast majority of British motorists will not only break down but many will also spend a considerable amount of time waiting for the recovery truck."

The motor insurance firm also discovered that some drivers seem to be cursed, with 4% admitting to have broken down more than four times. Northerners, on the other hand, are the least likely of all Britons to find themselves involved in a breakdown.
