Cheap car insurance firm releases policy documents on MP3

Do you take an MP3 player everywhere, but never have your car insurance documents to hand when you need them?

If so, the latest download from online car insurance firm Esure might prove appealing.

In an industry first, the insurer has released MP3 recordings of its cheap car insurance policy details, so customers can carry an accessible, digital version with them wherever they go.

Thanks to the miracle of audio compression, the so-called "pol-cast" lasts seven and a half minutes, but only occupies as much space on your player as Kylie's 'Can't get you out of my head'.

"It's a great idea," said Mike Page, spokesperson for the cheap car insurance experts at Hoot, "but you'd have to be careful of it in party shuffle mode".

"Motor insurance details are useful if you're in a car crash, but they can really ruin a good disco vibe," he added.
