It's always us young drivers that are being blamed for problems on the roads. Apparently we drive way too fast, we're aggressive and we regularly swig pints of beer before we get behind the wheel.
But new research has now revealed that it's not just the younger generation that are a menace on the road, but in fact old people as well as the young.
The latest study from Sainsbury's Car Insurance questioned drivers of all ages, including senior citizens and those in their teens, and made some worrying revelations.
The motor insurance firm found that a whopping 706,000 drivers had slapped on their make-up while behind the wheel, and a scary 38% of those questioned had driven when feeling tired.
It was also found that thousands of people drive everyday in just flip-flops or bare feet, while many drive after drinking.
A spokesman for Hoot Car Insurance Services, the expert providers of cheap car insurance for young drivers, said, "Youngsters have got a bad name when it comes to driving, but this survey just goes to show that older people need to clean up their act too."
