Lotto lout Michael Carroll failed to appear in court yesterday to face charges of driving without a licence and having no car insurance.
The 23-year-old yob, who won £9.7million on the National Lottery in 2002, is currently locked up in prison after going berserk with a baseball bat during a riot at a religious rock concert. He refused to leave his cell to face the latest charges and so the case was adjourned.
He is charged with a string of motoring offences including failure to provide motor insurance documents, driving without a licence and using a car without a valid MOT. The prosecution asked that he be disqualified in his absence if he fails to turn up again.
The überchav has another seven months to serve in Suffolk's Blundeston Prison and was recently in trouble with jail wardens after getting drunk in his cell. He had downed powerful hooch concocted by his fellow inmates and began roaring abuse at the prison staff. As a result, his privileges were removed and his visiting allowance was cut.
Hearing about the former dustman's latest motoring crimes, a spokesman from Hoot Car Insurance Services, the specialist providers of young driver car insurance, said, "It's likely that Carroll might receive a driving ban, which will result in him losing his right to a cheap car insurance policy.
"But to be honest, I don't think money's much of an object to this young man."
