Cheap car insurance firm picks washed-up Fed for Super Bowl ad

Britney Spears' sometime husband Kevin Federline appears to have hit rock bottom in the celebrity stakes - he's been spotted flipping burgers in a fast food restaurant to make ends meet.

In the wake of "Oops, I [got divorced] again", K-Fed's abortive rap career has made even his marriage look good. His debut album, 'Playing With Fire' sold just 6,500 copies in its first week.

Luckily for him, American cheap car insurance provider Nationwide Mutual still views The Fed as a bankable commodity. He's set to appear in a 30-second spot for the motor insurance firm during an ad-break in the Super Bowl coverage this year.

The NFL championship showcase takes place on February 4th, and is watched by a staggering number of Americans.

The Nationwide ad is a caricature of Federline's fall from grace - first he is pictured in a rap video surrounded by women and bling, then manning the fryers (his fifteen minutes of fame all spent) in a greasy burger joint.

"Our partnership with Kevin shows the world that he has a great sense of humour," said Steven Schreibman, vice president of 'brand management' for the cheap car insurance firm.
