US provider Esurance has taken a bold new step for an online car insurance firm - it's sponsoring a music festival.
Hip bosses at the company, which has set its sights on cornering the young driver car insurance market, decided that Seattle's annual Capitol Hill Block Party would be the perfect vehicle to promote their services.
The festival brings together Seattle alt. newspaper The Stranger, indie rock radio station 90.3 KEXP (listen online at http://www.kexp.org) and such notable bands as Silversun Pickups, The Cave Singers, The Intelligence and Viva Voce - plus about 40 others. It takes place over the weekend of July 28th, 2007.
Posters for the event feature the online car insurance firm's mascot Erin Esurance, an animated female spy who has been cart-wheeling her way through TV commercials since 1998.
