4/5 suffer minor injuries after young driver veers over cliff edge
Four out of five people are in hospital on the Isle of Wight after the car they were travelling in plunged 40ft over a cliff. Remarkably, it was the 19-year-old driver who escaped injury in the crash at Blyth Chute, Isle of Wight. His battered Ford Fiesta and young driver car insurance premium may never be the same again, however.
The car spun in mid-air after leaving the road and careering over the cliff edge, landing on its roof in a car park below. As a result the passengers, three female and one male, are suffering from whiplash and minor head and neck injuries. "Sounds like it's a miracle no one was seriously hurt," said Mike Page, one of the young driver car insurance experts from Hoot Car Insurance Services. "I expect the driver's next motor insurance quote will come as a bit of a shock, though," he added.
