Khan KOs chances of cheap young driver car insuranceAmir Khan, 21, the Commonwealth boxing champion, has been charged with a further driving offence. As he is already banned from driving, this can only have bad effects on his prospects for future driving and his young driver car insurance premiums. Khan has been accused of travelling on the M62 near Rochdale at more than twice the speed limit in a BMW 360i, and of failing to produce a driving licence or motor insurance certificate. He denies speeding to this degree. His previous driving ban followed a conviction for careless driving, in which he went through a red light, hitting and injuring a pedestrian. Already a millionaire, Khan is unlikely to be too troubled by the inevitable rise in his young driver car insurance costs, but could face further fines or an extension of his driving ban, currently set to expire in April.
