BMW car insurance buyers, are you bad drivers?Oh dear, all you BMW car insurance buyers out there - according to a new poll by Auto Trader, you have been voted the worst drivers on the nation's roads. When asked who were the worst drivers in the UK, out of 21,000 motorists, 45% named BMW owners. Interestingly, the top five worst offenders were all owners of luxury vehicles. Beamer drivers were swiftly followed by Subaru (23%), Mercedes (22%), Land Rover (20%) and Porsche owners (18%). Surprisingly, boy-racer owners of souped-up hot-hatches did not feature highly in the poll. The most annoying drivers were deemed to be old people, "white van men", cab drivers and bus drivers. Sunday drivers were voted worse than rush-hour motorists or school-run mums. A specialist BMW car insurance supplier spokesperson from Hoot, said, "Our BMW customers are proud of their cars and their driving. This poll is just for fun, with maybe a touch of the green-eyed monster present in those who answered the questions."
