This week (6-12 November) is Road Safety Week, organised by road safety charity Brake.
For the next seven days, Brake will work hand in hand with the Great British media to educate the public and promote safe driving.
It's an important time for the motor insurance industry, and this year's campaign is particularly significant for young driver car insurance firms like Hoot - because 'Young Drivers' is the theme.
Break's choice of focus is a bit of a no-brainer given the overwhelming majority of crashes on UK roads involve drivers under 30.
Topics for discussion include speed, alcohol, drugs, passengers, night driving and seatbelts - all dangers that young drivers face on a daily basis, often unwittingly. If successful, the campaign will save lives, and it could drive down the price of young driver car insurance.
"I think young drivers should be the theme every year," said Mike Page, Hoot spokesman and online car insurance guru.
"Let's just pray some of their advice sinks in," he added.
