Young drivers to travel to Cornwall for 'Sexy Green Car Show'

Young drivers are looking forward to a major 'green' event at one of the world's premier environmental tourist attractions - sponsored by a company offering car insurance.

The 'Sexy Green Car Show' makes a return to the UK's Eden Project in Cornwall from May 23 to 31 to celebrate cars with the greenest credentials - emitting the lowest levels of carbon dioxide.

A wide range of eco-friendly cars are heading for the huge environmental facility. They include futuristic concept eco-cars, racing cars and the best green cars on the road now.

Young drivers visiting Cornwall will be putting away their surfboards to check out 'green' show cars from companies including Volkswagen, Peugeot, Ford, Citroen, Saab, Fiat and Honda.

In addition, a UK manufacturer will announce a worldwide eco-car launch at the former clay pit complex that is home to large natural, temperate and tropical bio-domes of plants from across the globe.

Numbers of exhibits, talks and demonstrations are due to be higher this year, and a car science conference will be held. And young drivers - no insurance required! - can look forward to a few laps in pedal-power racing cars - no fossil fuels required.

The show's Executive Producer Gus Grand said,"The whole of the Eden site will be used this year, with more animation, demonstrations, exhibits and talks taking place."

Co-operative Insurance - a company that offer online car insurance - are sponsoring the 'Sexy Green Car Show' again upon its return after a successful first event last year.
