Car insurance continually affected by RTAs
The high cost of car insurance for young drivers is kept continually elevated by the number of car accidents involving young or novice drivers.
On Saturday 15th November an 18 year-old man suffered serious head injuries after the car he was driving collided with a tree on the A4112 in Herefordshire.
It is reported that two vehicles were travelling together towards Kington when the young driver's Skoda skidded off the road, making contact with the tree and finally landing on its roof.
The driver remains in a critical condition, whilst two young male passengers escaped with minor cuts and bruises.
Accident investigators are keen to speak to witnesses of the car accident and can be contacted at Hereford Police Station on 0300 333 3000.
A Hoot Car Insurance Services spokesperson said, "The cost of settling claims for serious road traffic accidents is a large contributing factor in the price of car insurance for young drivers."
