Highway Code confusing for cheap car insurance customers

Cheap car insurance customers are confused by the new Highway Code, an online motor insurance has concluded.

In a recent survey carried out by Churchill, motorists were asked about their knowledge of the Highway Code. The findings from the study showed that a total of 84% of drivers didn't know that playing loud music while driving is against a new code.

Another shock finding was that many drivers felt it was ok to eat behind the wheel - something that could easily bring on a car accident for which you may have to claim on your UK motor insurance for.

A spokesperson for Churchill Car Insurance said: "Anything that distracts motorists from looking at the road, or prevents them from driving safely should be avoided at all costs so that unnecessary accidents can be prevented."

Anybody unaware of new additions to the Highway Code may be putting themselves at risk of an accident for which they would have to claim on their cheap car insurance.

Digg!
