Residents living near some of the stadiums belonging to Premiership football clubs may find it harder than others to find cheap car insurance according to new research by Churchill.
According to their stats, Tottenham Hotspur are top of the table for nearby residents likely to make a claim after a car accident, theft or accidental damage as there is a 59% chance that residents with the same postcode as White Hart Lane will make a claim.
Residents close to Upton Park, the home of West Ham were next most likely to claim, closely followed by Aston Villa, Manchester United and Arsenal.
Research was based on car insurance claims made in the last four years
Only four clubs' postcodes were found to have below the national average of claims and so, for football fans who wish to keep their no-claims bonus intact and therefore get cheap car insurance at renewal time, it is probably best to move close to the grounds of Stoke, Sunderland, Bolton or Wigan.
