Cheap car insurance holders are among the motorists who have been hit with varying parking prices in different areas of the UK, according to a consumer watchdog.
It was discovered that people pay far more money to park in London's council spaces than they do in Stoke or Liverpool.
Furthermore, over half of the UK parking tickets handed out on a yearly basis are in London council localities.
Which? said that motorists, including those with young drivers insurance, should research parking prices on local council websites before heading off on trips to their chosen city.
A representative of Which? said, "Parking charges vary enormously up and down the country and people want to be clear about where they can park and how much it will cost them.
"But if there's one thing drivers hate more than paying high prices for parking, it's finding a parking ticket on their windscreen. If you think you've been unfairly ticketed, make sure you appeal."
People who have scoured the market for cheap car insurance may be concerned to hear that some outer London councils are lobbying to have the maximum parking fine increased from £70 to £120.
