Motor insurance quotes could increase for speeding motorists

Over one million drivers caught by speeding cameras are a single conviction away from losing their driving licence.

A huge number of motorists across the UK could find it difficult to get an affordable motor insurance quote in the future after being clocked by one of the many speeding cameras that line our roads.

In the last three years, a total of 7.5 million drivers have been caught by speeding cameras, many of which may have only been travelling a couple of miles over the speed limit.

Even television personality, Jeremy Clarkson, has shown his support by creating The Drivers' Club to protect people from losing their licence for minor speeding offences.

A spokesperson for Hoot Car Insurance Services, the experts in cheap car insurance said, "Of course nobody condones speeding but for many motorists who receive penalty points on their driving licence it can be a real pain. This could always have a negative effect in the future if they want to find a cheap motor insurance quote."
