All drivers care about is a cheap car insurance quote
Every UK driver is after a cheap car insurance quote, but when it comes to the fine print on our car insurance policies a shocking number just can't be bothered.
An alarming 11 percent of us have no idea what standard of cover our current motor insurance provides, according to online car insurance firm easyMoney.com.
Perhaps even worse, of those drivers with third party, fire and theft or comprehensive car insurance policies, 14 percent don't think they'd be covered if their car was stolen and 15 percent wouldn't expect compensation in the event of a fire.
"This level of ignorance is appalling," said Mike Page, spokesman for Hoot Car Insurance Services and a good man to have around if you need a cheap car insurance quote.
"Having a good standard of cover on your car insurance policy make all the difference when you come to make a claim," he added. "Finding cheap car insurance is great, but it shouldn't be your only concern when shopping around."
