Flying saucer could affect cheap car insuranceCheap car insurance could one day be a thing of the past after an American company puts a flying saucer into production. The flying saucers, which can travel several metres of the ground, are being manufactured in by a company called Moller International, who say that it could be the next popular mode of transport.
Thousands of people have flocked to watch video clippings of the saucer in action on http://www.youtube.com as it jets off the ground like a helicopter and if people like what they see, they could buy their very own one for around £65,000.
With over 200 successful test flights, there has been a huge level of support from people who have described their experience in the saucer as being "like a magic carpet ride." Company founder, Dr Paul Moller, said: "It's not a hovercraft, although its operation is just as easy. You can speed over rocks, swampland, fences, or log-infested waterways with ease because you're not limited by the surface." Commenting on the story, a spokesperson for Hoot Car Insurance Services, the cheap car insurance provider, said: "This really could change the future of travelling but I think it will be a long time before young driver car insurance customers stop shopping around for their motor insurance premiums."
