A man caught driving his Ford Focus while twice over the legal alcohol limit has been given a three-year ban.
The man from Wigan was spotted by police driving his Ford erratically along St Helens Road on 8th August. They pulled him over and gave him a breath test straight away.
The Ford owner was found to be more that twice over the drinking limit and was considered to be a threat to other road users.
The court heard how the man was disqualified for a similar offence in 2004 and that his most recent offence would cost him his driving licence for three years. He was also made to pay a £400 fine for the driving offence.
