A new education course is underway to help young drivers stay safe while driving and lower the cost of their student car insurance.
The Driving Standards Agency (DSA) has launched a scheme called 'Arrive Alive' which is designed as a talk and presentation about driving safely on British roads.
The sessions are free and some were organised in schools, colleges and other educational establishments across the country during the spring half-term.
Tragic figures reveal 136 young drivers who were less than 20 years old were killed during 2007 as a result of road accidents.
About 20 per cent of fatalities on UK roads involve young people and other drivers who have just passed their tests.
Safer driving can lead to cheaper student car insurance premiums. Attending one of the sessions is likely to be of great benefit to young motorists as they can reduce the cost of motor cover by learning how to improve the quality of their driving and hopefully, stay accident-free.
