Cheap car insurance for male driver could become a thing of the pastPolice officers who pulled over a man for drink driving got the shock of their lives when the man got out of the vehicle wearing nothing but his birthday suit. The 20-year-old man from Cumbria could find it difficult to get a cheap car insurance quote in the future after being handed a 15-month ban for driving with excess alcohol. At Whitehaven Magistrates' Court, the male driver was given a hefty penalty for putting the lives of his passengers at risk and was made to pay a fine of £100 - money that could have been the savings made from his previous motor insurance policy. A spokesperson for the Crown Prosecution Service said, "The passengers in the rear of the car were apparently not aware that he was naked. "It seems they saw him get out to relieve himself and were unaware that when he got back in the car it was without his clothes on." This conviction means that when applying for his next cheap car insurance quote, this young driver may well find it difficult to get an affordable policy.
