Young driver risks student car insurance
A man who burrowed into the ground and covered himself with leaves to avoid the police has not been able to escape the fact that his student car insurance could now rocket in price.
The young man from Seattle, America, was stopped by police for speeding; he then somehow managed to run away and bury himself into soft ground.
After an hour of being covered by dirt and leaves, the young driver sent his girlfriend a text message and asked her to come and pick him up. As he got out of his hole, police officers caught him.
The man had outstanding arrest warrants for failing to appear in court for charges that included drink-driving.
In the future, he could find it difficult to get affordable LL1LL and may have to get several motor insurance quotes to find the best policy.
