Motor insurance quotes could be affected by road signs

Residents living in Caerphilly, Wales, won't have to worry about the risk of their motor insurance quotes increasing after more than 1,000 confusing road signs were scrapped.

The decision to get rid of the needless road signs was made by highway chiefs who found that many of them were pointless and could even induce a road accident.

Many of the signs which are traffic warnings can easily confuse a motorist and may put them and their families at risk of a crash - something that they may have to claim on their car insurance for.

The RAC added that too many signs can cause accidents because of an overload of information for drivers to digest.

A spokesperson for Hoot Car Insurance Services, the experts in cheap motor insurance quotes, said: "Road signs are there for a reason but if there are too many, it can increase the likelihood of an accident occurring."
