Road rage warning for new and experienced drivers

Individuals with car insurance for new drivers are among those to have been warned by the Institute of Advanced Motorists (IAM) about the potential dangers of retaliating against motorists who commit road rage.

The road safety charity has said that the majority of aggravating manoeuvres are performed accidentally. Apparently it is best to let the law-breaking drivers move on, rather than shout obscenities at them.

Motorists who are able to remain relaxed and maintain their concentration during potentially dangerous situations are reportedly far less likely to have accidents and make claims.

The IAM has encouraged the UK's drivers, including those with student car insurance, to set a positive example by keeping to the rules of the road at all times. Some of the advice given by the charity is to stop and give way at busy junctions and to be patient in traffic.

A spokesperson for the IAM said, "We all make mistakes when we're driving, so try and cut people some slack when they do so. Road rage doesn't improve the situation, and puts you, your passengers, and other road users around you at risk."

In related news, a website which has been visited by the buyers of car insurance for new drivers has revealed that some people have blown kisses and laughed at drivers who they deemed to be acting aggressively.
