Customers prefer shopping for online car insuranceOnline car insurance customers feel more confident than ever before, according to Sainsbury's Bank. More and more people are happy to look for cheap car insurance over the internet, where they can easily look through different companies to find the best possible quote. Communications manager for Sainsbury's Bank, Natasha Virtue, said: "In terms of online purchasing, it is a growing trend. We're seeing a steady increase. "But we have found that people still like to use the phone. So you do get people who really just want to speak to somebody and get through all the details on the phone." Mike Page, spokesman for Hoot Car Insurance Services, the UK motor insurance provider, said: "With the online car insurance market being so easily accessible to customers, even if they don't want to buy a policy online, they can always carry out the research beforehand and phone up at a later date."

*A replacement car can usually be arranged under any of the following conditions:
1.Non fault accident – where we have the name, car registration number and insurance details of the person who caused the accident, we will supply a replacement car on a credit hire basis. This means the charges for this service will be passed onto the insurance company of the person who was responsible for the accident. This service may not be available where we are unable to get an admission of liability from their insurance company, or wherethe driver is unknown or uninsured.
2.If you have comprehensive insurance, a replacement car may be available under the terms of your insurance policy. Please check your policy details for more information.
3.The repairing garage may be able to provide a replacement car. This is subject to availability.
