An online car insurance company is emphasising the need to obtain a high level of motor insurance cover after an entire street of parked vehicles in Wales was targeted by car vandals.
Almost every car on the street was attacked totalling around 30 vehicles.
Vandals poured paint stripper over the cars causing thousands of pounds worth of damage.
A male resident said, "I don't know what fun is to be gained from doing this. There's been a lot of damage done here."
He estimated that repairs to his car would cost around £1,600.
The first car to be vandalised was the most severely attacked and is reported to be a write-off.
Its female owner said, "I'm obviously gutted. I've only just moved into this area and this is the second time in nine weeks my car has been done.
"I can't understand it. I've never had anything like this happen before. It's so gutless of people to come and do this to people's property."
A Hoot spokesperson said, "Online car insurance companies can offer vehicle owners cheap car insurance quotes and this in turn enables them to afford the best cover possible."
