Young driver car insurance news 16/08/2007
Young car insurance customers protected in a PassatNew drivers will be pleased to know that not only do they get great deals on their young driver car insurance if they buy a Volkswagen Passat but they also be driving one of the safest cars around. The latest findings were announced by the Monash University Accident Research Centre, after they looked at information gathered from 2.8 million car accidents in New Zealand and Australia between 1987 and 2005. What they discovered was that while other cars came out top for other safety features, the 1998 to 2005 Volkswagen Passat model was rated highly for protection during the event of a car crash. Researchers also stated in their findings that the 1982 to 1990 Daihatsu Hi-Jet model didn't offer the same level of protection, with its drivers and passengers being 26 times more likely to be killed of suffer serious injuries in a crash compared to those travelling in a Volkswagen Passat. The news will come as a warm welcoming for young driver car insurance customers who often buy second hand motors. A spokesperson for Hoot Car Insurance Services, the online car insurance provider, said: "When searching for a second hand vehicle you want to make sure that you're going to get your money's worth. Plus with the savings you make on buying a cheaper motor, you'll have plenty of cash left over to buy a young driver car insurance policy with."
