Young driver car insurance news

Vigilance needed on winter evenings

Having car insurance for young drivers is now more important then ever, it would seem, as cases mount of pedestrians being more of a risk than the drivers themselves, particularly at night.

Statistics show that in California there is a 25% higher chance of a road accident occurring on Halloween night with trick or treaters around, though of course this problem is not simply related to California or Halloween night.

Drivers may be to blame for many road traffic accidents involving pedestrians, particularly if they indulge in dangerous driving behaviour such as texting on a phone or driving after having had a drink or two.

There is also an infinite list of distractions for pedestrians as they wander along the side of the road; mobile phone usage being the top distraction.

It is essential that student car insurance holders, and all drivers, remain extremely diligent in checking that pedestrians are aware of their presence.

At this time of year there is an even greater risk with nightfall coming earlier, not to mention Halloween when children are having fun and forgetting to focus on vehicles.

Having full car insurance for young drivers is extremely important should the unfortunate occur.
