Young motorists in Warwickshire could be in with a chance of winning a brand new Peugeot 1007 for a year if they successfully secure the title of Coventry and Warwickshire Young Driver of the Year.
The competition, which will be open to all Warwickshire residents aged between 17 and 21, will challenge drivers' motoring abilities by putting them through a series of tests - some of which could increase their chances of receiving affordable UK motor insurance in the future.
Those who want to enter and win a Peugeot 1007 will have to demonstrate that they're able to park, regain control of a vehicle when skidding, abide by rules by the Highway Code and undertake an advanced driving test with a qualified instructor.
The lucky few who are short listed will then have to complete further tests with the winner being announced at a special ceremony at Coventry Transport Museum. They will then be able to drive a brand new Peugeot 1007 for an entire year.
County councillor, Martin Healy, said: "We are delighted to be supporting this competition - an initiative which will give the participating young drivers knowledge and skills that will help them stay safe throughout their driving careers."
The new challenge will hopefully bring awareness to safer driving in the area, with more young drivers than ever before getting a cheap car insurance quote for the excellent motoring skills.
