Peacock held after attack on shiny Renault

A Norfolk couple have recently had to rely heavily on their Renault car insurance after a trip to an animal park left their car viciously vandalised.

Their black Renault was targeted, whilst in the car park, when its shiny paint job attracted a hoodlum. The peacock has now been confined to an aviary.

Yes, it was a male of the species who, in his territorial state, felt threatened by his own reflection in the car's side panels. He violently attacked the Renault, scratching and denting it, and leaving it smeared with blood.

The couple's car insurance company will have to fork out for a £2,700 re-spray.

Previously, a stately home owner in Somerset banned "peacock blue" coloured cars from the grounds of his estate after an attack on a Lexus.

Peacock, Ron, was accused of sexual assault after park workers felt he was trying to mate with the car.

A spokesperson for Renault car insurance provider, Hoot, said, "Whilst this appears light hearted, there is a serious side to the story. The couple were of-course devastated by the attack on their vehicle and are genuinely concerned for future visitors to the park."
