Teachers and playgroup leaders are expected to register their involvement in a scheme which might see the reduction of student car insurance prices.
Brake, a road safety organisation, is encouraging nursery staff and school teachers to begin organising events for Road Safety Week, which is set to begin on November 21st.
The non-profit organisation believes the initiative is a perfect opportunity for educators to highlight potential hazards on the nation's roads, to young pedestrians and future drivers.
The campaigns director for Brake said that teachers were ideally placed to impart important safety messages, by putting on enjoyable activities for the next generation of young drivers car insurance holders.
She stated, "In previous years, hundreds of nurseries and playgroups have taken part in Road Safety Week, helping to make the event a huge success."
Local law enforcers have been advised to start planning for the event as soon as possible. Police in Humberside put on a child car seat clinic last year, while those in West Mercia delivered a series of informal assembly presentations.
Motorists who attend the road safety seminars and advanced driver training days could improve their driving skills.
Children who participate in the Road Safety Week activities are likely to stand an improved chance of obtaining cheap student car insurance when they are older.
