Insurance providers call for post-test training

News that the parents of inexperienced motorists are demanding the introduction of evening curfews and a reduction of the drink-drive limit may interest young drivers insurance customers.

The road safety charity Brake has reported that the vast majority of parents are in full support of the regulation of novice motorists.

While some mothers and fathers would purchase electronic devices to restrict the speed of young drivers, others would welcome a passenger number limitation.

Some experienced drivers even suspect their newly qualified counterparts of using mobile phones while behind the wheel, a crime which is taken very seriously by young persons car insurance providers.

A spokesperson for Brake said, "Parents of young drivers are worried and rightly so, a horrifying number of road deaths and serious injuries involve young people, but there are things they can do.

"It is vital that parents talk to teenage children about the risks of driving and crucial steps like staying within speed limits, never driving after drinking and ensuring they and any passengers belt up."

In related news, an organisation which sells young drivers insurance recently claimed that there would be a great reduction in the number of young driver deaths if a system of post-test training was imposed.
