Buckle up to secure cheap motor insurance quotes

Motorists in Northamptonshire could be risking their cheap motor insurance quotes after a recent crack-down showed that many drivers failed to wear seatbelts.

During the campaign, police officers in Kettering stopped motorists who they believed to be committing a driving offence and putting the lives of other motorists at risk.

In just one hour, officers handed out a number of fines to motorists including five fixed penalty notices, costing each driver £30.

Police Constable John McQuaid commented on the findings and said: "It's worrying how easy it is for us to find drivers not wearing a seatbelt."

A spokesperson for Hoot Car Insurance Services, the online car insurance provider said: "It's very concerning that we still see such a high number of motorists driving without a seatbelt. With the government spending a great deal of money of advertising campaigns, it is hoped that drivers would remember to buckle up.

If a driver is involved in a road accident and has to claim on their car insurance policy, they could find it difficult to get a cheap motor insurance quote in the future."
