Scots driver buzzes police car at 100mph

A Scottish driver is due to appear in court on charges that at the very least could lead to him missing out on a cheap car insurance deal in future.

The 43-year-old was arrested for speeding after he passed a police car at about 100mph.

"100mph is far too fast to drive safely on any public road," said Mike Page, spokesman for the cheap car insurance specialists at Hoot.

"Both the courts and the motor insurance firms take a firm line when it comes to such reckless use of speed," he added.
