Cornhill poll result could affect motor insurance quotesThere's bad news for Cornhill Direct customers who live in Lowestoft, Ipswich, Colchester or Chelmsford. That's because if you live in one of these places, you might well use the A12, which runs from Great Yarmouth in Norfolk all the way down to the capital. And the A12 has recently been voted the 'roughest road in Britain', in a poll carried out for the online car insurance firm. That means more lumps and bumps in the road, more trips to the garage for broken or misaligned suspension, a higher chance of accidents, and - you guessed it - the possibility of an increase in motor insurance quotes for Cornhill customers. Cornhill bosses may also be re-considering motor insurance quotes for policyholders in some parts of Scotland. The M8, which links Glasgow and Edinburgh, came second in their worst road poll.
