The search for cheap car insurance is a preoccupation for many of our nation's delivery drivers, but nothing could have been further from the mind of one such trucker who stopped for a leak in a layby outside York.
The unfortunate man looked up to discover an eight foot python was watching him from the branches of a nearby tree.
The RSPCA responded to his 999 call and captured the offending snake. It has since been taken to Knaresborough.
Hoot spokesman Mike Page, who views cheap car insurance much as Joani views Chachi, said: "This is the second snake-related young driver car insurance story in as many days - is it snake season or something?"
