Young driver car insurance is often known to be relatively expensive because of the risk posed by young motorists, but a new magazine aims to help change driving habits of teenagers and other young people.
The magazine called 'Drive Alive' promotes road safety issues and is designed to make young drivers consider how to improve their motoring abilities.
Launched in North Lanarkshire, Scotland, 'Drive Alive' is being published for secondary schools in the region in a bid to save lives.
It was set up by students who formed a business group in school. Scottish Transport Minister Stewart Stevenson has backed the project and there have been contributions from road safety groups such as the Driving Standards Authority and Brake.
A total of 281 people were killed on Scottish roads in 2007, according to official figures. Mr Stevenson said, "Listen to the road safety messages and advice in this book. It could save your life."
Content in the magazine includes information on drink and drug driving and car maintenance assistance. Details about young driver car insurance are also contained in the magazine.
