Young driver in church roof car accident
A motorist from Germany is likely to find his young driver car insurance increase significantly after a high speed crash left his car twenty feet off the ground, firmly embedded in a church roof.
The young motorist was apparently driving his black Skoda around the German roads of Saxony so fast that, on negotiation of a bend in the road, his car broke through a road barrier and spring-boarded into the air to come to rest in the local Lutheran church.
The driver was seriously injured and a crane was required to lift him free of the wreckage. He was taken to hospital where he is said to be in a non-life-threatening condition.
A spokesperson for Cheminitz police in the state of Saxony, said, "We've never had a case of a car landing in a church before."
Cost of damage to the church is yet to be assessed, but it is said that the car, surprisingly not written off, will require approximately £9,000 of repairs.
Police were said to be testing the young driver for traces of alcohol and speculate that speed was a possible cause of the accident.

It is unclear as to whether or not the motorist had full young driver car insurance.
