Cheap car insurance news 12/09/2007
Fast cars could increase young driver car insuranceYoung driver car insurance can be cheap, but only if you don't buy a fast car says a leading motor insurance provider. Admiral has advised new drivers to lower their expectations about what motor to buy after passing their test. Admiral says that although young drivers can get cheap car insurance, if they want to buy a fast car then their premium could be set to rise. A spokesperson for Admiral said, "You do get some people who will pass their test and they want the fastest car they can get. Well, unfortunately, that's going to end up costing them a lot of money." According to Admiral, because young driver car insurance customers are seen as a bigger risk with fast cars, their premiums are of a correspondingly large size. A spokesperson for Hoot Car Insurance Services, the online car insurance company, said, "It may be wiser that new drivers buy a cheaper and more economical vehicle as their first car. Not only will they get a great deal on their young driver car insurance but they'll also mind less about the odd scratch on their paintwork."
