Award for best young driver

Motorists in Ilfracombe could be in with a chance of winning the Young Drivers Award if they manage to successfully show off their excellent driving skills behind the wheel.

There's a reason why new drivers get such great deals on their young driver car insurance and motorists in Ilfracombe are going to get the opportunity to show the rest of the world just why that is.

Young driver car insurance customers aged between 18 and 25 have been invited to take part in this year's challenge, which will be held at the Devon Drivers' Centre at Westpoint, Exeter. Officials are hoping that the series of tests will highlight the need for safer driving in the area.

Ilfracombe Rotary president, Paul Yabsley, said: "We have been concerned by the recent appalling death toll and injury from accidents involving young drivers.

"We want to do all we can to help drivers have a better understanding of the driving skills needed on today's roads."

The winner will receive a fantastic £1000 in motor insurance and other drivers could also bag themselves a satellite navigation system (SatNav), Skills for Life voucher and up to £179 off a car service at Kwik Fit.

Anybody who successfully manages to get through to the finals should feel confident that they'll continue to receive great deals on their young driver car insurance premium in the future.
