Premiums for famous cars
A quirky motor cover news story hit the headlines this week that is likely to interest people searching for young driver insurance.
A wide range of not-so-cheap car insurance premiums has been published that represented policy prices for many of the world's famous and favourite vehicles seen in Hollywood blockbuster films.
Cover costs for some superhero cars is astronomical with a £2 million premium required for the likes of the Batmobile and from the Transformers movie, a Chevrolet Camaro which was the alter-ego of Bumblebee the robot.
However, more modest rates are available for family favourites such as Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, enjoying cover for just £5000 - although with some flight restrictions.
Herbie the Lovebug, a Volkswagen Beetle, was able to secure the lowest priced policy. At £2000, some young driver insurance policies are known to be higher!
