Scrappage and you

If you're contemplating the cost of your young driver's insurance you may be encouraged to learn that a new car with a small engine and modern driver safety devices could reduce your car cover quote, and with the government's 'scrappage' scheme now operational it might be worth your while looking into it.

So, if your car or van is:

  • no bigger than 3.5 tonnes in weight
  • registered by DVLA as yours and you are going to be the keeper of the new vehicle
  • covered by a current MOT certificate
And the new vehicle is:
  • less than 3.5 tonnes in weight
  • registered for the first time in the UK after 18th May 2009
  • new and without former keepers
  • built to a UK specification
then you could get £2,000 off the price.

For full details contact the car dealership to see if they are participating in the scheme and you might find that your dream new car is now within your budget.

Then call Hoot to see if we can offer you a great deal on your young driver's insurance.
