Young drivers insurance customers are among those being polled to decide upon the best British performance motors of all time by the organisers of the Silverstone Classic Racing Festival.
A group of recognised industry experts has already created a short-list of 15 historic cars, and the British people can now have their say via the Silverstone Classic website.
It may be hard to pick a favourite among the AC Cobra, Aston Martin DBS, Jaguar E-Type, Triumph TR3A and TVR Griffith, for which specialist cheap car insurance is recommended.
The makers of the original Jaguar E-Type should have good reason to celebrate whether or not they win the prize, this being the 50th anniversary of their popular car.
The Event Director said, "Britain is famous for its sports cars but no one ever agrees which one is the best.
"That's a long-running debate we now want to put to rest and where better to settle the result than at the Silverstone Classic, where so many fine examples of these much loved models will be on show?"
The closing date for votes is June 30th, and the winner will finally be revealed on the 7th of July. It may be interesting to see whether there is a difference in opinion between young drivers insurance customers and their more senior counterparts.
