Young Marmalade starter scheme offers affordable alternative for new drivers

The price of car insurance for young drivers makes it difficult for many of us to afford a safe, modern car when we start driving, but online car insurance company Young Marmalade aims to change all that.

By combining the purchase price of a new or nearly new car with a cheap car insurance premium, the motor insurance firm gives new drivers a viable alternative to the traditional rusty death-trap of a first car.

For a one off down-payment followed by a series of monthly instalments, the Young Marmalade starter scheme also covers 25 driving lessons and Pass Plus course fees.

Hoot spokesman Mike Page, who knows everything about car insurance for young drivers, said: "Combining the cost of a modern car with cheap car insurance and lessons seems like a great option for newbies.

"Of course, the success of the scheme will largely depend on its subscription price," he added.
