I fought for this one. It might not be as famous as once it was, but when I was growing up, the rally scene would have been much less exciting without the Toyota Celica. It was so central to that scene that there was even a computer game on what was then the cutting edge Spectrum computer called Toyota Celica GT Rally, which I lost many hours of my life to.
More importantly to Toyota, the Celica won various rallies, including the British Open two years running, and all six African events that the car was entered for.
