Teen crash ruins young driver car insurance ratesA lucky teenager has escaped unscathed after causing a road accident in Accrington, Lancashire - but the same can't be said for her car or young driver car insurance rate. The crash took place on 17 June 2007. Police have surmised that the teen was trying to overtake another vehicle when her car veered off the road near junction seven on the M65. The car, a Citroen C4, ploughed into a roadside embankment but fortunately the 19-year-old was left uninjured and could get out by herself. Motorway police recovered the car soon afterward, and nobody else was hurt as a result of the crash. "This sounds like a case of youthful inexperience, but sadly it could mar the lady's motor insurance record for years to come," said Mike Page, spokesman for the young driver car insurance specialists at Hoot Car Insurance Services. "However, searching around for a good online car insurance deal could make up for some of the damage she's done," he added.
